The Homeowners Association was formed to maintain and enhance the quality of life in our neighborhood through management of common areas, improvements to infrastructure, enforcement of rules and bylaws, and support initiatives that strengthen bonds among residents that benefit the greater good of the community. Our activities include:
- Management of Landscape contract to maintain the landscape in all common areas
- Management of the Property Management contractor
- Budget management
- Decisions made in the best interest of the community
- Address community issues
- Promote neighborhood sense of community

Do I need a permit make a change or addition to the exterior of my home?
Answer
Yes. The Homeowners Association has an Architectural Review Committee (ARC) that is in charge of maintaining compliance with the neighborhood Design Review Guidelines. Homeowners are expected to submit a request to the ARC. The request can be completed on the ARC form. The ARC will respond to your request in a timely manner..

We encourage homeowners to share their email addresses with us. Please feel free to email me at isaleh@columbus.rr.com to share your email address with the HOA. Once we have your email address, you will be included on all future emails to the neighborhood.

Does Heritage Lakes have a Facebook Page?
Answer
Heritage Lake neighborhood has a Facebook community page. The Facebook page can be found by searching (on Facebook) Heritage Lakes Neighborhood Hilliard Ohio. This Heritage Lakes Facebook is a closed group. HOA current residents at Heritage Lakes and Fairway Commons may submit a request to join the group. The Group Admin will verify you and approve your request.

What does our by-laws document say about removing your Christmas Decorations?
Answer
The By-Laws provide a high-level guidance as it relates to compliance with the neighborhood standards. We ask neighbors to remove their lights shortly after the Holidays as weather permits. If neighbors continue to have Christmas lights beyond February 1st, a formal notice will be sent out to the homeowner.

Answer
The By-Laws mandate that trash cans are hidden from view. Violators will receive a notice and will be fined for repeat offenses.

What is the HOA position on having snowplows in driveways, boats or campers in the driveway & cars parked in the street?
Answer
Our Property Management contractor inspects the neighborhood twice per month. They are tasked with observing the neighborhood for violations. They will follow a Policy that was approved by HOA Board. The Policy begins with a notice to the homeowner, and then a warning letter. A fine may be assessed if violations are not addressed timely.
