We have great lakes, wonderful greenscapes, and a golf course which runs through parts of our neighborhood. Wether your going for a nice walk or enjoying the company of the neighbors Heritage Lakes is a great place to live.
Quality Place to Live
Heritage Lakes and Fairway Commons are two communities adjacent to one another, with one neighborhood association. The homes are nestled within the Heritage Lakes Golf Course. Homes are that are not on the golf course have a view of one of the many stocked ponds maintained by the golf course. There are 23 homes in Fairway Commons and 153 in HL. Homes in HL/FC are a minimum of 2700 square feet, the average is about 3600 sq. ft. Selling prices range from $350,000 to $800,000. FC has one public entrance, one street and two cul-de-sacs. HL has one public entrance, 4 streets and 3 cul-de-sacs and a private gate controlled access through the golf course with access to Main Street. Gate access is for residents of the community only and controls are rented yearly. The Heritage Lakes Golf club is one of a few courses in the country with a paved road across the course so residents can drive to the club house. The roads in HL/FC are divided with landscaped islands which are maintained by the neighborhood association through yearly dues.
Great Schools and parks
Both communities are part of Hilliard and the Hilliard City school system. School age children for both communities attend Alton Darby Elementary and Bradley High School. Along with school activities there is a public park accessible by a private walkway from Heritage Court West. The YMCA is about 2-3 miles north of the neighborhood. There is a community pool and park within walking distance. There are miles of walking and biking trails throughout Hilliard.
Hilliard Suburb of Columbus
Hilliard Ohio is a suburb of Columbus Ohio approximately 13 square miles with a population of 28,000 people. According to the 2010 US Census, There were 10,198 households of which 44.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them. The median age is 35.9 years old. Hilliard is bordered on the east by Upper Arlington, on the north by Dublin, on the south by Galloway and Columbus, and to the west lies open farmland. Downtown Columbus lies in a distance to the southeast, its skyline visible at times when crossing bridges. The only major highway that runs through Hilliard is I-270, which runs north and south slightly east of the middle of the city.
